Hesketh Alexander Byron Jacques also known as Alec Jacques of Canal Road/Rivulet Lane, Grenville, St. Andrew’s, who formerly resided in the USA, passed away on Friday, 9th May, 2025 at the age of 66.

He was the son of the late Anstey Pelham Jacques and Aline Hannibal Jacques of Grenville, St. Andrew’s. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his wife Susan;

His children - Vale Cindy of Grenada, Alexander Yohannes, Victor, Daniel, Sydnée, and Tyrae of the USA; grandchildren - Cristol, Meagan, Hesketh, Ronaldo, Tedaija, Zahria, and Jubilee; and five great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his siblings Roland Douglas-Jacques, Dr. Janice Jacques, Cheryl Jacques Leid (Carson), and Megan Jacques of the USA. He was preceded in death by his brother Bert Jacques (Jean) of Toronto, Canada, and his sister Winsley Jacques.

Left to mourn are in-laws, Maureen Wilson (Fred), Edith Gros (Germain), Frank Noel (Yolande), Omel Noel (Janet), Patrick Robertson (Beverly), and Michele Salazar (Dillon).

He was the uncle of many nieces and nephews including Michelle Jacques of Canada, Julian Jacques; Ryan Douglas-Jacques (dec’d), Raoul, Russel, Asher, and Y’hudaw Douglas-Jacques; Chereen Smith-Leid, Carson Leid, and Cassandra Leid all of the USA.

Also left to mourn are relatives and close friends including the Jacques, Hannibal, and Creft families of Canada, Grenada, and the USA.

The funeral service for Hesketh A B Jacques will be held on Thursday, 12th June, 2025 at 1 p.m. at the St. Andrew the Apostle Roman Catholic Church according to Anglican rites. Interment will be at Grand Bras Cemetery.
