Neila Lilieth Butcher, affectionately known as Doreen, of Paraclete, St. Andrew, Grenada, born on 8th April 1942, passed away peacefully in London, England, on Tuesday, 14th April 2026, at the age of 84. A beloved wife, sibling, adoptive Mum, godmother, and friend, she leaves behind a profound legacy that will be cherished by her extensive family across the globe.

Wife of beloved husband: Mr. Noel Royce Landon Butcher.

Daughter of: Mary Nandoo

Adopted daughter of: Luna and Thomas Batiste of Grenada

Sister of: Mireletta Chichester of New York, USA, and Magdelen Lynch (formerly Nyack), of Trindad. 

Sister in Law of: Reggie Butcher, Jules Butcher, and Avril Butcher.

Cousin of many including: Annie Bain of Grenada, Carmen Rechere, Margaret Proctor, and Starsky Forrester, London, UK, Nopy Forrester in the USA, and Kenroy Forrester in Grenada, and and the Forrester and Nandoo families of Grenada and Trinidad.

Good friend of many including: Maggie, Joan Broom, Muriel and Joy Lucas of London, England, and Mrs Carmen Gordon of Clermont, Florida.

Beloved as godmother and by Bonus daughters: Kim Gordon, Thembi Small, Femi Managwu, and godchildren across the UK and North America.

Many other friends and neighbours: Throughout Grenada, the Caribbean, the US, Canada and Europe.

The body of Neila Lilieth (Doreen) Butcher will be taken by horse and carriage from T Cribb & Sons Funeral Home, to one final journey to her home and, then for the funeral procession to make its way to arrive at 12:30pm on Wednesday 20th May 2026 at ARC - A Radical Church, for the funeral service. She will then be laid to rest at the Manor Park Cemetery in Forest Gate, East London. 

May she rest in everlasting and eternal peace.
